. For some reasons I can’t stand Toyosaki Aki’s singing in any other context (looking at you, both opening themes). Most of the episode is dedicated to the concert, but it was only a three song set! The rest is filled with some of the most awkwardly inane emceeing I’ve ever seen courtesy of Yui. I know you guys at Kyoto Animation just wanted to save time and not write more songs. I’m on to you scoundrels! ( ‘s skeleton: what do the girls do after high school? I thought it was overall very tasteful and touching but occasionally approached the border of unbearable cheesiness. Regardless, the emotions really flowed out well and the scene feels like, well, a drama.
Watching and appreciating this episode really makes me think of how much potential this series had. It could have been great, but it settled for good. Even this episode itself could have distinguished itself with a better directed concert scene and more songs. Give us Operation Tornado. Give us
