Speaking as a person who has yet to advance beyond the most minimal levels of "Harry Potter" fandom -- a muggle in this reality -- it's saying a lot that I now greatly look forward to new films featuring the famed fictional wizard. With every passing year, the series gets better. The films are better shot, acted, directed and written, with increasing consequence of plot and character. By comparison, watching the first two big-screen entries was, yes, like being mugged.
You probably don't need me to tell you that "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" opens at 12:01 a.m. Friday, already has sold piles of advance tickets and is, quite possibly, the year's most anticipated film. It also officially marks the beginning of the holiday-movie blitz, and therefore leads my list of the season's biggest flicks, presented here in order of their arrival in cineplexes (please note, release dates are subject to change):

Can I save my music from an infected PC?
I a virus on my laptop. Anti-Virus programs I don't have keep popping up and scanning, then telling me to buy their anti-virus product. I also keep getting viagra pop ups. I can no longer go on the net. I booted it in safe mode and scanned with avast. Avast said that my pc is clean. Avast didn't find a thing.
I have 5,000 plus songs on my laptop. Most of them are from Cd's so re-downloading from Itunes will not help. I am planning on restoring my laptop if I have to, but I don't wont to lose my music. How can I save my music?
I was thinking about moving all my music to an external hard drive, restoring my PC, then reloading my music. But will this reinfect my PC? If so what can I do to save my music?
In your case I would definitely boot with a Linux live cd.
Don't be afraid if this is new to you..it's very straightforward:
1. download the latest Ubuntu from http://www.ubuntu.com/desktop/get-ubuntu /download
2. burn it to a cd
3. boot from the cd and choose to try out Ubuntu when you're asked.
4. Have some patience.
5. Open a file explorer from the top panel by clicking on Places/Computer. Plug an external hard drive to your PC and copy all files from your song folder to the external hard drive.

What's wrong with my laptop now?
My anti virus protection shut down a year ago, and really..I've been fine! No pop ups, no viruses, nothing..It was rare that I would get a pop up saying that my computer was infected and needed a scan, but I just assumed it to be a phishing link or something. I Have a fujituso laptop I downloaded over 1000 songs, and none of them have given my computer problems. I can't remember anything I did that could have provoked this. It's 5:31 now..At 2:30, and I record this time because I was using the computer.. Out of nowhere, I get this Antivirus software alert on the side of my computer that says
"infiltration alert: Your computer is being attacked by an internet virus. It could be a password stealing attack, a trojan- dropped or smaller. Details: Attack from: 160.172.217.50 port 40882. Attacked port: 16820. Threat: BankerFox.A" It asks if I want to block this attack. I keep clicking no, but it keeps popping up..
The last time I clicked yes, a lot of pop ups came up that automatically shut down my whole computer within seconds..This isn't the only problem..
A spyware alert pop up that just won't go away, and won't move keeps coming up telling me my computer has been infiltrated. Also, the most annoying pop up that won't stop is a security warning that says "Application cannot be executed. The file googletalkplugin.exe is infected. Do you want to activate your antivirus software now?"
Then the windows security centers popping up, but I can't activate my anti-virus without buying it. But that's the thing. I can't buy it. I can't pay any money, its expensive. It want's 40 dollars! My parents would be pissed if I bought it.
What the hell is going on? How do I fix this? Grr!! Also, Although I USE firefox only, Internet explorer webpages keep popping up. They're advertisements for Viagra and some website called PORN.com, and some erectile dysfunction crap.
I'm trying to back up my files, but it's taking a very long time, and I don't know how much time my computer will last before shutting off like it did before. I don't want to send it in to someone yet, as my computer is STILL on, and is still capable of being turned on. At first, I'd just like to examine the situation, and see if its possible for me to fix this myself.
Please help me. I can't stand to have my hard drive wiped again.

I have it installed, and I renamed the malware antivirus protection, but it wont open..
DON'T PAY FOR THE ANTI-VIRUS PROGRAM BEING OFFERED TO YOU. IT'S A SCAM! Your computer is definitely infected by malware already. Can you still download programs from the internet? If so, get Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. Rename the file to something else like x.exe and then run it. After installation, scan your computer to remove that malware.
Take note: You will need to rename the MBAM program to something else before you can run it because the malware that you have knows about MBAM and it will prevent you from installing it. If you can't do this in normal mode, boot to safe mode and do the installation and scanning from there.

They seem to be targetting Y!A at the moment (ok I am quite new on here so may have been an ongoing thing). Other quite creative ones are adverts embedded in song downloads from Limewire. And does anybody else get that 'replica rolex', 'monday market report' and 'herbal viagra' rubbish??!
What makes me laugh tho, is does anybody every buy from these scams? I mean, hey, a stranger passes you on the street and says 'Hey, give me a tenner for these pills' do people buy them? Ok, possibly at 3am in brixton, yeah, but you get my point!
Apparently they put out such a high volume of messages that it only takes a very low percentage of replies for the operation to become profitable.
